Test a representative product set
Choose products with different variants, availability and delivery rules. Check category links, search, images, specifications and selection controls. A store can load successfully while still offering an impossible variant combination or outdated price. Record the actual product and condition tested.
Review mobile and keyboard buying journeys
Use narrow mobile and desktop layouts, enlarged text and keyboard navigation. Check menus, filters, carts, dialogs and checkout errors. Confirm fixed bars or consent controls do not obscure actions. Automated accessibility scans help identify problems but do not prove every shopping interaction is usable.
Verify orders without charging customers
Use the payment provider’s supported test environment and approved test recipient. Test a successful purchase, declined payment, interruption and duplicate action. Check order creation, notification and fulfillment routing. Do not use a real customer inquiry or charge as a substitute for test infrastructure.
Make release recoverable
Preserve the current configuration and define rollback steps for code, data and provider settings. Confirm important redirects, metadata and crawlable links after deployment. Assign owners for order failures and customer questions. Search visibility and commercial success require follow-up evidence; neither is established by a passing build.
